How Vehicle Part Finder works

Vehicle Part Finder lists used car parts from verified UK garages, breakers' yards and private sellers. You search, you contact the seller, and you buy from them directly. We never handle payments and never charge buyers.

Finding a part

  1. Search for the part, e.g. "front brake caliper". Spelling mistakes are fine.
  2. Add your registration (optional). We look up your car with the DVLA and only show parts the seller has listed as fitting it.
  3. Filter by category, condition, price or distance from your postcode.
  4. Contact the seller with the message form or by phone. Ask anything: part numbers, extra photos, delivery, returns.
  5. Agree the deal with the seller and pay them directly. Collect in person or arrange delivery with them.

Buying safely

  • Match the part number on the listing with your old part.
  • Ask about the seller's returns policy before you pay. Private sellers usually sell "as seen", so you have fewer rights than with a business.
  • Prefer collection, card payment or another traceable method. Be wary of anyone asking for a bank transfer to a personal account before you've seen the part.
  • Spot something wrong? Use "Report this listing" on the listing page.

For sellers

  1. Create a free account as a private seller or a business.
  2. Get verified. Every seller adds a debit or credit card in their name on Stripe's secure page. It's never charged unless they choose a paid feature. They're verified straight away. Limited companies can also add their Companies House number for a "Registered company" tick. Nobody can publish until they're verified.
  3. Tap Add part, take a few photos, and our AI fills in the title, part numbers, compatible cars and a description, with a price estimate from similar eBay listings.
  4. Check anything highlighted in amber, then press Publish.
  5. Buyers message or phone you directly. Mark parts as sold when they go.

Listings stay up for 90 days and can be renewed with one tap, so buyers only see parts you still have.
